Some of you might still wondering, core 2 duo is better than the dual core. Well, the truth is, both CPU are 95 % identical, which the other 5% reserve to C2D processor has higher L2 Cache size. Thats it.

Core 2 Duo processor has 2, 3, 4 or even 6 MB Cache, depend on the product code. Compare to Pentium Dual Core, which has 1 MB cache, you might think, C2D is a better choice. However, think again when you see Pentium Dual Core will cost lower than the core 2 duo

From various benchmark, having extra 1 MB cache might improve the performance of the CPU up to 20%, depend on application. But, C2D processor will cost you another 100 percent increase ( base on Pentium Dual Core price)

However, C2D currently running on 800, 1066 and 1333 FSB. Compare to Pentium Dual Core, it is limited to FSB 800 only.

For home use dual core processor is more than enough and its cost effective. When you need to do heavy load works such as multimedia editing etc, you need to have little bit more cache and the RAM.

Still making excuses not to install Linux? Not willing to partition your drive? Well, the solution has arrived: Wubi.

It's Easy...

The first thing you need to do is download Wubi. It's an impressively small 957kb. You will need 256 mb memory, 5 Gb hard disk space, and a machine running Windows 98, 2000, XP, or Vista.

Set the Install Drive: The drive to which Ubuntu will be installed (note: one of Wubi's main features is that you do not have to make a Ubuntu partition so simply select the disk that Windows is installed on)
Set the Installation Size: The size of the Virtual Drive that Ubuntu will use (how much space you'll have for Ubuntu files). Note that the absolute minimum is 4gb.
Set the Desktop Environment: This allows you to set the GUI that Ubuntu will use. It defaults to Gnome (my personal favorite), also available is Kubuntu (a KDE environment) and Xubuntu (a Xfce environment). If you don't know which one you want use Ubuntu (Gnome) or Xubuntu (Xfce) if you have an older or lower spec computer. You can also install whatever version of Ubuntu you want, including 32-bit (expect a second tutorial shortly).
Set the Language: This is pretty self-explanatory. It should be noted that you can change this post-install.
Set the Username

Accessibility Options

From the main install page click Accessibility
Choose a Visibility Aid: Note that you can only choose one.
1. High Contrast: This changes the color scheme of Ubuntu to a higher contrast one as an aid to visibility.
2. Magnifier: This allows users to use an on screen magnifier. They can move this magnifier over the screen and it will magnify the section under it.
3. Screen Reader: This allows text and other output to be read out to a user using text-to-speech technology
4. Braille Terminal: This allows Ubuntu to use a Braille Terminal (aka Refreshable Braille Display)
Choose a Mobility Aid: Note that you can only choose one
1. Keyboard Modifiers: The most commonly used keyboard modifier is sticky keys. This allows the ctrl, alt and windows keys to be stay pressed after only one press by the user. This is useful if the user is only able to press one key at a time.
2. On-Screen Keyboard: This allows the user to input text via an onscreen keyboard, by clicking keys.

Click Install

Wubi will now download the version of Ubuntu that you selected under Desktop Environment and install it. When you start your computer a boot option will come up allowing you to choose between Ubuntu and your other OS.

Uninstallation

So you've tried Ubuntu, and decided it isn't for you. How can you uninstall it? It's easy. Arguably Wubi's best (and hopefully least used) feature is that it allows Ubuntu to be uninstalled like any other program. Just open Add or Remove Programs (under XP) or Programs and Features (under Vista), select Ubuntu and click modify or uninstall.

The installation will continue for another 10-15 minutes and the machine will reboot again. This is it. Now you can select Ubuntu at the boot screen and start using it.

Easy to uninstall

You uninstall it as any other applications. In Windows go to the control panel and select "Add or Remove Programs", then select Wubi/Ubuntu and uninstall it. You can also use the uninstaller that you find in the installation folder.

What wubi installer do?

You keep Windows as it is, Wubi only adds an extra option to boot into Ubuntu. Wubi does not require you to modify the partitions of your PC, or to use a different boot loader, and does not install special drivers. It works just like any other application. Wubi is free of spyware and malware, and being open source, anyone can verify that.

Is like wubi install is virtual Environment

No. This is a real installation, the only difference is that Ubuntu is installed within a file as opposed to being installed within its own partition. Thus we spare you the trouble of creating a free partition for Ubuntu. And we spare you the trouble to have of having to burn a CD-Rom.

The service strives to educate all consumers about eco-friendly products, manufacturers and local earth-conscious retailers. A user can search through 13,000 Earth friendly products from 790 retailers.

Searches can be made by category. Though the search feature has a commercial slant, it helps the consumer make informed decisions about a green lifestyle. A free membership allows a user to take part in ‘green auctions’ for some of the products listed on the site.

Create Your Own Torrent

Torrents are great, they are the best way to share large files with your friends, or even with people you don’t know at all. But surprisingly enough, not many people create torrents when they need to share something. I have “a lot of” friends who know how to download torrents, but when they need to send me their latest 200MB vacation picture collection, they ask me to “get on msn”.

It’s not that I have anything against msn (although the file transfer sucks), but why don’t just use BitTorrent? Especially if you want to send something to more than one person, or if you want to share high quality HDTV files, because then you can share the bandwidth.

So how do you do this? Well it’s very simple. Open your favorite BitTorrent client and do the magic trick:

file > create torrent

That’s all? Well almost. All you need to do now is put in the tracker info and tick some boxes. This can differ somewhat from client to client but it all comes down to the same thing.

1. File > Create new Torrent (or CTRL + N)
2. Select the files and or directories

3. Trackers: This is probably the hard part for most people. But it’s pretty easy, just put in one of the popular public trackers. You can use one or more trackers, but in general one is enough.

An essential for any aspiring theme developer is a local install of WordPress. There are plenty of benefits to doing so and
there are also pitfalls if you don’t. I will tell you about the pitfalls in a second, but before that, I want to tell you 5 great
reasons why you should use a local install as your sandbox as opposed to installing a live version on some subdomain of
yours:

1. Works exactly like the real deal; plugins and all
2. No need to mess with FTP programs
3. Develop anywhere (no connection needed)
4. Make sure your theme is compatible with latest version of WordPress
5. Code in secret, then release with a bang

I can personally attest that the last reason is a good one. While working on the current theme for this website, I accidentally pinged Technorati, which notified a bunch of people of my latest work. When this site finally got released, it was more of a fizzle instead of a bang. Anyhow, let’s get on to the tutorial.

1.Install WordPress Locally

Download and Extract XAMPP Lite
1. Go to http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html#646
2. Download XAMPP Lite.exe (the .exe is a smaller, faster download)
3. Move the download to the root of your C drive C:\
4. Run the .exe and the directory will be installed

Startup Apache and MySQL
1. Open the xampplite folder
2. Double click setup_xampp.bat
3. After the program tells you to have fun, press any key on your keyboard
4. Now double click on xampp-control.exe
5. Now start the Apache and MySQL services

6.If everything worked, you will Running next to those 2 services

2. Create a New Database

1. In your browser of choice, navigate to http://localhost/xampp/splash.php
2. Click on your language
3. On the left hand side, under Tools, click phpMyAdmin
4. On that page, you will see the MySQL heading, like in the screenshot below

5. Call the database wordpress and select utf8 unicode ci from the drop down menu
6. Click Create

3. Install WordPress

1. Download and extract WordPress to your desktop
2. In the extracted folder, open the file wp-config-sample.php in a text editor

What is the Blog Pinging Service

The Blog Pinging Service is a way to inform Blog Search of weblog updates. These updates are then published and shared with other search engines to allow them to discover the changes to your weblogs.

Many people are confused about what exactly pinging is in regards to weblogging. I'll try to explain what's going on here.

First, go check out a few weblog tracking places where you can see recently updated lists:

The main way these sites learn that a weblog has been updated, is for the weblog software to 'ping' the weblog trackers.

After careful thought, you post something new on your weblog.
The new stuff is excellent, but nobody knows you've updated your site.

Sending out a ping is like raising the red flag on the mailbox to tell the mailman you have new mail to be sent. In this case, you are telling the weblog tracking sites that your site has been updated.

Configuring Movable Type to do this is simple. I use MT, so I don't have any good instructions for people that use another weblogging tool.

In blogging, ping is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism by which a weblog notifies a server that its content has been updated.

An XML-RPC signal is sent to one or more "ping servers," which can then generate a list of blogs that have new material.

XML-RPC is a Remote Procedure Calling protocol that works over the Internet.

An XML-RPC message is an HTTP-POST request. The body of the request is in XML. A procedure executes on the server and the value it returns is also formatted in XML.

How Can I Do That :

There are two ways you can do this.

{1}Manual Ping

The manual method of pinging Google is to simply go to http://blogsearch.google.com/ping and enter your blogs URL every time your blog is updated. This is the straight forward method but many will prefer the Automatic Ping method below.

{2}Automatic Ping

If you want Wordpress to automatically ping Google every time you update your blog, then you will need to add http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2 to your Update Services box in your Wordpress admin area. This is found in the options/writing section of the admin area and by default Pingomatic (http://rpc.pingomatic.com) will already be in the text box.

While Pingomatic already pings a number of services for you, by adding Google’s ping url to the Update Services list you are sure to increase your blogs exposure on the net. In actuality, JSON is a text format that’s completely language independent but uses conventions familiar to programmers within the C-family of languages. How to call c# function from the jQuery function

There are remarkable amount of ways to call a c# function from the jQuery Function.

But I like to share the way, which I have known before few days for my project. It is really so simple than my expectation.

There is something referred as jQuery.ajax() request in the Ajax API in the jQuery. This request Load a remote page using an HTTP request and returns the XMLHttpRequest that it creates.

The request implementation is in the following code snippet.

This may be the most important thing to determine prior to a netbook purchase as it plays a role in the things covered in this article

1. How are you going to use your device?

The term netbook implies you will want to do web surfing and work with email, and all netbooks can do this well. However, netbooks are full laptops and can be used for a lot more than that, and many purchasers want to do a lot of the same things they do on other computers. Netbooks can be used for word processing, spreadsheet work and the like, and these can be factors in which operating system to select, as well as the size of the screen and keyboard. Many users want to use iTunes with their iPhone or iPod; that means you need a netbook that runs Windows XP.

2. How much screen do you need?

Netbooks come with three different size screens, and it’s important to think about how big a screen you need. The smallest screen found on netbooks is 7 inches — that’s small! — and these display at a resolution of 800 x 480 which doesn’t show much on a single screen. The next size up is 8.9 inches and these often run at 1024 x 600, which is a big step up in screen real estate. The largest screen size — 10.2 inches — is rapidly becoming the standard for new netbooks, and these also run at 1024 x 600. A good rule of thumb is: Get the biggest screen you’re comfortable carrying around if you intend to be highly mobile.

3. How small of a keyboard will you tolerate?

When you’ve purchased computers in the past, you probably didn’t give a lot of thought to keyboard size, but it can be a critical factor for many netbooks users. Netbooks small size means scaled-down keyboards that fit the width of the device. This can have a tremendous impact on your ability to comfortably type for extended periods. Netbooks with 7-inch screens are the narrowest, and these keyboards can be as small as 80 percent of a full-sized one. It is almost impossible to touch type on these tiny keyboards. The bigger netbook keyboards (ones with 10 inch screens) are usually 90 percent the size of a full one, and the key spacing of most of these is fine for normal typing. A lot of netbooks on the market are produced outside the U.S. and many have non-standard key placement, so be sure you take a good look at this, as it can negatively impact fast typists.

4. Do you need the (heavier) extended battery?

Some people just want a netbook to surf the web in front of the TV at home; for those folks battery life is not that important. But if your needs are more mobile, then it’s worth considering the battery life of your options. Netbooks usually ship with either standard or extended batteries, which are usually 3-cell or 6-cell batteries respectively. Battery life can be as short as 2 hours or less with the standard batteries, so get the extended battery if at all possible. These can typically provide 4 hours of mobile juice which is a lot better than the 3-cells. Remember that the bigger the battery the heavier the netbook will be as you carry it around. An extra half pound of weight doesn’t seem like very much but when you add that to an already packed gear bag it can get awfully heavy by the end of a long day. Of course, your battery will last for more of that long day too.

5. Can you walk away from Windows?

This was originally not a decision factor as early netbooks only shipped with the Linux operating system. This was fine with geeks, but everyday customers soon began to demand a more familiar OS. Some netbooks shipped with Windows Vista early on, but the performance on the hardware typically used in netbooks was not good enough. OEMs have since shifted to include Windows XP on most netbooks currently available, and this has become the de facto standard. If you want a standard environment or want to install any Windows software you already own, XP should be your choice of OS. There are many different variants of Linux in use on netbooks, and it can be daunting to get familiar with an operating system you haven’t used.

Always, contradictions, reveal the duality of the universe. It is said that we would never appreciate light without knowing darkness... The same corresponds also to our case: big vs small! Well, since we where kid (most of the paradigms finally start from that age) we were convinced to do something "big"... But we couldn't even understand what is the difference between big and small, especially when in that age, even small things seamed to be sooo big!

In my mind there is still so vivid the first day in my life that I had a first ride with my bike without falling down!!! It seemed quite an accomplishment! I even went to my grandfather telling him proudly that I finally did!!! Well, he was also proud, but looking at it back now, it seams such a small indifferent event... Is it though small? I believe that such events are those that trigger us to move one in our life... the small details are those that make us trying to do something better in this lifetime... that makes us move on even in our darkest moments... that makes us successful!
